How much does a full set of veneers cost? What 'full' means, the per-tooth math, and the package price

What a 'full set' of veneers means (8, 10 or 20 teeth), what each size costs at US per-tooth prices versus package prices, what the price should include, and what a full set costs per month.

By Dr. Marta Puentes Marrero, DMDReviewed by Dr. Roger Ramos Navarro, DMDPublished 7 min read

Short answer

A full set of veneers costs $7,000 to $25,000 in the US at per-tooth prices, depending on how many teeth it covers: 8 to 10 upper veneers at $930 to $2,440 each. A true full set of 20, both arches, runs $18,000 to $50,000 priced per tooth. Package pricing changes the math: at Xiluet Smiles in Miami, 20 porcelain veneers cost $6,999, confirmed in writing before you book.

What a 'full set' actually means

There is no standard definition, which is why two quotes for a 'full set' can be $9,000 apart and both be honest. Some practices mean the six upper front teeth. Others mean everything that shows when you smile, usually 8 or 10 upper teeth. A few, including us, mean every tooth that shows when you talk and laugh, upper and lower: 20 teeth.

What decides the number is your smile line. If only your upper teeth show, 8 or 10 upper veneers can be the whole job. If your lower teeth show when you speak, veneering only the top row leaves two shades of white in the same mouth, and that mismatch is what people notice. Most practices describe 6, 8 or 10 upper veneers as the smile zone, and 16 to 20 across both arches as a full transformation.

  • 6 veneers: the upper incisors and canines. Enough for a narrow smile; the premolars behind them often show in a wide one.
  • 8 veneers: adds the first premolars. The most common 'smile zone' set.
  • 10 veneers: adds the second premolars, for wide smiles and anyone whose corners show.
  • 20 veneers: 10 upper and 10 lower. Every tooth visible in speech and laughter, one shade, one design.

The per-tooth math for 8, 10 and 20 veneers

Most dentists in the US price veneers per tooth. In 2026 the national range for a porcelain veneer is about $930 to $2,440, with an average near $1,425, and the 2026 Synchrony study cited by CareCredit puts the average at $1,455. Location moves the number: about $940 per tooth in the cheapest states and $1,433 in California, and $2,000 to $2,500 in New York City. Multiply by the set size and the spread becomes very wide.

Set sizeTeeth coveredAt $930 per toothAt $1,425 per toothAt $2,440 per tooth
8 veneersUpper front teeth to the first premolars$7,440$11,400$19,520
10 veneersUpper teeth to the second premolars$9,300$14,250$24,400
20 veneersUpper and lower, every visible tooth$18,600$28,500$48,800

The table explains why so many people stop at 8 or 10: at per-tooth prices, a true full set of 20 costs as much as a car. It also explains why 'full set' quotes are so hard to compare. A $12,000 quote for 8 teeth and a $12,000 quote for 20 teeth are not the same offer, and the first one is $1,500 a tooth while the second is $600.

Why package prices break the per-tooth rule

A per-tooth price repeats the fixed costs 20 times. The exam, the scans, the facial photos, the digital design, the mock-up, the three appointments and the follow-up cost the practice the same whether you have 8 veneers or 20. In a package, those costs are paid once and spread across the set, which is why a 20-veneer package can be cheaper than 10 veneers bought one at a time.

The other half is the laboratory. A veneer made by an outside lab carries a lab fee of roughly $200 to $800 per tooth before the dentist adds anything, plus shipping both ways and a two- to four-week wait. Our ceramist works in the same building as our doctors. That removes the outside lab fee, lets the doctor and ceramist match shade in person, and is the reason we can prepare, try in and deliver in one week.

That is how a full set of 20 porcelain veneers at Xiluet Smiles is $6,999, about $350 per tooth, with the exam, cleaning, X-rays, digital design, the preview you approve in your mouth, the in-house lab and a 5-year written warranty included. The Miami market as a whole sits between $5,000 and $10,999 for 20-veneer packages, as we found in October 2026. If some teeth need crowns instead of veneers, the package becomes our Smile Makeover, 20 restorations for $7,999.

What a full-set price should include

A full-set price is only comparable once you know what sits inside it. Ask every practice for the list in writing. Ours is on the cost page. The items that most often turn up later on the invoice:

  • The design and the mock-up. Some practices bill $300 to $1,500 for the digital design and the preview. It is included here, with changes.
  • Exam, cleaning and X-rays. Often a separate first appointment at $150 to $400.
  • Temporaries. The acrylic teeth you wear between preparation and delivery. Charged per tooth by some labs.
  • The lab fee. Already inside a per-tooth price at most practices, but not always inside a package price. Ask.
  • Adjustments and the night guard. A bite adjustment should be free; a custom night guard for grinders is often extra.
  • The warranty. Many Miami offers are one year or nothing. Ours is 5 years in writing, and what it covers is spelled out.

Procedures that are not veneers, such as gum reshaping, a root canal or a crown on a heavily filled tooth, are quoted separately after the exam. Any honest practice will tell you that in writing before you travel, and so do we.

Do you need 20, or will 8 do?

The honest answer comes from a photo of you laughing, not from a price list. If your lower teeth stay hidden when you speak and laugh, 8 or 10 upper veneers can be the whole design, and the lowers can be whitened to match. If your lower teeth show, as they do for most people over about 35, a top-only set leaves the mismatch we described above, and the design should cover both arches.

At Xiluet Smiles the doctor states the number of teeth in your written treatment plan, and the estimate changes with it. Most of our designs are built in 20 veneers because that covers every tooth that shows, but some smiles need 8 or 10, and we say so. The decision is confirmed at Visit 1, tooth by tooth, before anything is prepared. If you are not sure whether veneers are the right answer at all, start with who is a candidate for veneers.

What a full set costs per month

Most of our patients finance. As an example, $6,999 over 48 months at 9% APR is about $174 a month. Rates and terms are set by the lender and depend on your approval. We work with five partners, Cherry, Sunbit, CareCredit, LendingClub and Alphaeon Credit, and every one pre-qualifies you with a soft check that does not affect your credit score. The financing page compares them, and how to pay for veneers covers bad credit and deposits.

Dental insurance almost never covers a full set because veneers are classed as cosmetic. HSA and FSA accounts can sometimes be used; check with your plan administrator before you count on it.

How to compare two full-set quotes

  1. Count the teeth. Ask how many veneers the price covers and which teeth. Divide the price by that number before comparing anything else.
  2. Ask what is included. Design, mock-up, exam, cleaning, X-rays, temporaries, lab, adjustments, warranty. Get it in writing.
  3. Ask who makes the veneers. An in-house ceramist or an outside lab, and in which country.
  4. Ask how much tooth is removed. 0.3 to 0.5 mm is a minimal-prep veneer. 'All around' is a crown, whatever it is called.
  5. Ask for the warranty in writing. Years, what it covers, and how a claim works from another city.
  6. Ask to see the design in your mouth first. A practice that will not show you a mock-up is deciding for you.

Two full-set quotes are only comparable once you know how many teeth each one covers and what is inside the number. The cheapest one is usually the one that counted fewer teeth.

Send three photos (front smile, left side, right side) through our free photo evaluation. A doctor replies within 6 hours with how many teeth your design needs, what it costs, and the dates for your week. The number you receive is the number you pay, unless the exam finds something that needs treating first, and we tell you that in writing too.

How many veneers are in a full set?

It depends who you ask. Many practices mean 6 to 10 upper teeth, the ones that show in a smile. At Xiluet Smiles a full set is 20 veneers, 10 upper and 10 lower, so every tooth that shows when you talk and laugh is one shade and one design. Your doctor confirms the number in your written plan.

How much is a full set of veneers in the US?

At 2026 per-tooth prices of about $930 to $2,440, 8 upper veneers cost $7,400 to $19,500 and 20 veneers $18,600 to $48,800. Package pricing is far lower: 20 porcelain veneers at Xiluet Smiles in Miami cost $6,999, with the design, lab, cleaning, X-rays and a 5-year warranty included.

Dr. Roger Ramos Navarro, DMD

Why is a full set cheaper per tooth than a single veneer?

The exam, scans, design, appointments and follow-up cost the practice the same for 1 veneer or 20, so a package spreads them across the set. When the ceramist works in the building, the outside lab fee of $200 to $800 per tooth disappears as well. That is how 20 veneers can be $350 each.

Dr. Roger Ramos Navarro, DMD

Can I get a full set on just my top teeth?

Yes, if your lower teeth do not show when you speak and laugh. Then 8 or 10 upper veneers plus whitening of the lowers is a complete design. If your lowers show, a top-only set leaves two shades in one mouth, which is the mismatch people notice. A photo of you laughing tells us which case you are.

Dr. Marta Puentes Marrero, DMD

Does a full set of veneers cost less in Miami?

Usually, yes. Several Miami practices own their labs and treat many out-of-town patients, so 20-veneer packages between $5,000 and $10,999 are common here, where the rest of the country prices per tooth. Ours is $6,999 for 20, delivered in one week with a 5-year written warranty.

Dr. Gretell Alonso Fiel, DMD

Is a full set of veneers covered by insurance?

Almost never, because veneers are classed as cosmetic. Some patients use HSA or FSA funds; check with your plan first. Most of our patients finance instead: $6,999 over 48 months at 9% APR is about $174 a month, and all five of our lenders pre-qualify you with a soft credit check.
